ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday strongly condemned the car bomb blast in Afghanistan’s Capital Kabul which claimed a number of precious lives.
Earlier in the morning, at least 24 persons were killed whereas 42 further suffered wounds in a car bomb explosion in Western Kabul.
“PM Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the car bomb attack in Kabul today that resulted in loss of precious lives & injuring many others,” the Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria wrote in his Official Twitter account.
The prime minister also expressed grief and sorrow over loss of precious lives in the blast. He also expressed sympathy with the government and people of Afghanistan.
“On behalf of govt &people of Pakistan, the PM has expressed sympathies with govt &people of Afghanistan over car bomb attack in Kabul,” Zakaria further wrote.
The ill-fated bus was carrying government employees from the when it was struck by a suicide bomber riding a car.
The Afghan Interior Ministry Spokesman Najib Danish told media that the blast occurred near the house of the deputy government Chief Executive Muhammad Mohaqiq. He also told that the deceased and injured employees were of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.
