ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif stands for the rule of law and welfare of public, and today he recorded his statement in a reference for four hours.
While talking to the media persons outside the Accountability Court in Islamabad on Monday, she said that despite passage of two years, no corruption of even a single penny has been proven against Nawaz Sharif.
The information minister said that Nawaz Sharif not only eliminated terrorism and made Pakistan a nuclear power but also completed infrastructure projects worth billions of rupees.
Talking about first 100 days program unveiled by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) yesterday, the information minister said that Imran Khan should firstly tell as to what his government did in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the last five years.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the UNDP report on human development index presents a gloomy picture of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She said that report exposes the poor performance of the PTI’s provincial government.
The minister said that we want to develop and make Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the pattern of Punjab. She said that the people will hold the PTI accountable in the next general elections.
