PARIS, France: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has conveyed his heartiest congratulations to Emmanuel Jean Michel Frederic Macron on his historic election as the President of the French Republic.
On Sunday, the second round of Presidential Election took place in France which resulted in the victory of the 39-year-old Emmanuel Macron, defeating Marine Le Pen by 65.5 percent to 34.5 percent. Emmanuel Macron will be sworn in as France’s next President on May 14.
In his message of felicitation as per according to Pakistan Embassy in Paris, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on behalf of the government and the people of Pakistan, and on his own behalf conveyed his heartiest congratulations to French President-elect Emmanuel Macron.
The prime minister said that Emmanuel Macron’s election as President of France was the measure of the trust reposed by the people of France in his inspiring leadership and progressive vision.
Nawaz Sharif expressed his confidence that the existing friendly ties between Pakistan and France would continue to grow under his dynamic leadership. He said that he would look forward to working closely with him in the years ahead.
Moreover, the prime minister also extended his good wishes to the personal health and happiness to the President elect of France, and for the well-being and prosperity of the people of France.
