ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday said that the federal would ensure all possible support the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In a meeting with the AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan at the PM House in Islamabad, the prime minister expressed his satisfaction over the progress in various development projects in the AJK, and said that the regional government must work even more vigorously for the welfare and prosperity of the people.
The prime minister said that it was the collective responsibility of the federal and AJK governments to serve the people said that improved communication and roads networks would improve the standard of lives of people and greatly boost up economic activities.
The AJK prime minister apprised the prime minister on the progress made on ongoing development and welfare schemes and projects in AJK.
Raja Farooq Haider said that the developmental and infrastructure projects were proactively pursued with utmost adherence to merit and transparency. He said that the people of AJK would enormously benefit from the development and welfare schemes.
Separately, the AJK President Sardar Masood Khan also met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed matters pertaining to AJK.
The AJK president informed the prime minister regarding the moral and diplomatic efforts of AJK’s government in support of the just freedom cause of the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir.
The prime minister said that the world needs to take notice of the latest brutalities against unarmed innocent Kashmiri people who are greatly sacrificing for realization of their inalienable right to freedom.
“The unspeakable and inhumane atrocities against innocent and defenseless Kashmiri people must end,” the prime minister said.
