ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi has expressed serious concern over the inclusion of protected consumers in the non-protected category and has sought data of all DISCOs to provide relief to protected consumers.
While chairing a meeting to review the overbilling issue at the Ministry of Interior in Islamabad on Monday, the interior minister directed all directors of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to check the data of DISCOs and submit a detailed report. He tasked all FIA directors to collect evidence within three day.

The interior minister directed them to submit the record of pro rata system. He stated that a comprehensive report on all evidence will be presented to the prime minister.
Mohsin Naqvi directed the Additional DG FIA North to personally visit Peshawar, Lahore, Gujranwala, and Faisalabad to review the situation and collect data. He said that it is essential to redress the grievances of protected consumers.
The minister emphasised that a thorough review of each piece of evidence will be conducted to identify the elements involved in it. =

The meeting was attended by Federal Secretary Interior, Additional DG FIA Headquarters, Additional Secretary Interior, Additional DG FIA North, and relevant officials. All FIA directors participated in the meeting via video link.
