ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi has directed the Islamabad administration to stay alert amid threat of dengue in the wake of rainy season and accelerate efforts to prevent it.
In this regard, Mohsin Naqvi made a contact with the Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa and asked him to ensure the drainage of rain water from low lying areas.
The interior minister directed to implement the anti-dengue plan of action in letter and spirit and strictly follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in this respect.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that the Islamabad and Rawalpindi administrations will work as a team in anti-dengue efforts.
Ali Randhawa said that so far nine cases of dengue have been reported in Islamabad.
