ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi on Friday inspected the Murree Road from Faizabad to Serena Chowk, and directed to make it a model road.

The interior minister sought a plan for the upgradation of Islamabad’s main entrance.

Mohsin Naqvi directed to remove all encroachments from both sides of the Murree Road from Faizabad to Serena Chowk. He also directed to develop parks and green belts on both sides of the road as well as landscaping and horticulture be carried out therein.

The interior minister also directed that road patch-work and road carpeting should be completed on a priority basis.

The minister maintained that the Faizabad Interchange is the gateway to Islamabad and is in dire need of upgradation.

Moreover, he directed that lights installed on the Murree Road should be fully activated.

Mohsin Naqvi instructed the Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa to facilitate the movement of citizens.
