ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A representative delegation of the Chinese business community headed by the Chinese Consul General Zhao Shirin met the Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad on Tuesday.
In the meeting, a detailed discussion on safety measures for Chinese citizens and staff working on the projects was held.
The Chinese businessmen gave suggestions regarding the security plan.

The Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi noted the recommendations of the Chinese businessmen and assured implementation of the feasible suggestions.
The three-hour long consultative meeting was also attended by top officials of the law enforcement agencies of the Federal and Punjab governments.
In his remarks, Mohsin Naqvi said that the safety of Chinese citizens is a top priority. He said that Chinese citizens will be given all possible facilities for business.
The interior minister said that the security plan’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are designed to protect Chinese citizens. He assured that they will take all possible measures for the convenience of Chinese citizens.
The minister also said that visa for Chinese citizens will be online from August 14, making it very easy for Chinese businessmen to arrive in Pakistan.
The minister also said that SOPs will be reviewed for the convenience of Chinese citizens. He said that the suggestions of Chinese businessmen have been noted and soon a progress on it will be witnessed.
The Chinese Consul General Zhao Shirin said that Pakistan and China have cordial bilateral ties. He expressed hope that the Chinese business delegation meeting with the interior minister will yield positive results.
A large number of Chinese businessmen doing business in Punjab especially Lahore attended the meeting.
The Federal Interior Secretary Khurram Ali Agha, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, National Counter Terrorism Authority (NECTA) Chief Muhammad Tahir Ray, CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana, Punjab Home Secretary Noor Ul Amin Mengal, and senior officers were also present on the occasion.
