ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that modern technology should be utilized to upgrade media to the international standard.

In her address at a certificate distribution ceremony of First Professional Management Course of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Department in Islamabad on Thursday, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the media has a key role to maintain peace and stability in the Country.

The special assistant said that a responsible media can make the dream of a developed and prosperous Pakistan a reality.

Emphasizing capacity building of media persons, the special assistant said that disinformation caused by communication gaps creates chaos and disorder in the society.

Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan urged the participants of the court to engage with the media persons for accurate dissemination of information.
