ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Ministry of Economic Affairs organized a City Tour for the President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Masatsugu Asakawa in honor of his visit to Islamabad.

Accompanied by Secretary of Economic Affairs Dr. Kazim Niaz, the ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa toured Pakistan Monuments in Shakarparian and Faisal Mosque.

Upon arrival, the Secretary of Economic Affairs presented President Asakawa with a Ghandhara art album, a cultural cap from Gilgit-Baltistan, and a shawl from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The ADB president praised Pakistan Monuments as not only a beautiful recreational site but also an outstanding representation of the country’s cultural heritage.

Following the visit to Pakistan Monuments, President Masatsugu Asakawa and Secretary Dr. Kazim Niaz proceeded to Faisal Mosque.

At the mosque, Masatsugu Asakawa was briefed on its history. He appreciated the Islamic art and craft displayed within the mosque and remarked on the mosque’s beautiful design and architectural work.
