ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that only those who have served the people will win 2018 general elections.

Talking to media representatives in Islamabad on Saturday, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that in the news general elections, people will vote for performance not for slogans.

The minister said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan should better start serving people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif underwent a medical checkup for belly pain in a Private Hospital in Lahore.

While apprising about the prime minister’s health, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the prime minister has been working day and night for the development of Pakistan. She said that his all medical tests have been clear, and he is fine now with the grace of Allah Almighty.

Meanwhile, addressing a Parent’s Day event in Islamabad, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the federal government has included the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in its national agenda Vision-2025. She said that Pakistan will achieve these objectives under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The prime minister said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led government has introduced reforms in education and health sectors to provide best facilities to the masses. Likewise, she added that effective and concrete steps have been taken to counter terrorism and extremism in the Country.

The information minister said that the government is working on the agenda to improve educational system in the Country where all poor students can learn. She said that 200 buses have been provided in schools of the Federal Capital.
