ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday discussed matters relating to Country’s internal and external security situation in a meeting held in Islamabad.
During the meeting, the prime minister briefed the president about the details of meeting of Cabinet’s National Security Committee held on Wednesday.
The president was also apprised of the One Belt One Road (OBOR) Summit held in China last month.
Both the leaders expressed satisfaction over the pace of ongoing projects under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Meanwhile, President Mamnoon Hussain is set to address the Joint Session of the Parliament today on the beginning of the fifth and last parliamentary year.
In his address, the president will highlight the achievements of the government in diverse sectors including war against terrorism, law and order, economic challenges, power generation and agriculture.
The president will also give new guidelines to the government.
