ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has appointed Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali as the Secretary Ministry of Defence.

In this regard, the Establishment Division has issued the notification.

The new Secretary Ministry of Defence has been appointed for a period of two years and three months.

His appointment will take effect from October 1, 2024, and Lt General Muhammad Ali will serve as the Secretary Ministry of Defence until December 31, 2026.

Lt General Muhammad Ali is currently serving as the quarter master general in Pakistan Army’s GHQ in Rawalpindi. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Hilal-e-Imtiaz. Lt General Muhammad Ali appointed new Defence Secretary
