ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A delegation of leading Russian businessmen held a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Monday.
The Russian delegation, led by the Chairman Board of Directors TMK and President of Sinara Group Dmitry Pumpyanskiy, included Mikhail Popov, Alexander Pumpyanskiy, Andrey Parkhomchuk, Vladimir Shcherbatykh, Anton Zubikhin, Evgenii Poplavskii, and Maxim Pavlov.
While the Pakistani side included the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin, the Minister for Energy Muhammad Hammad Azhar, the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Power and Petroleum Tabish Gauhar, the Chairman Board of Investment (BOI) Atif Bokhari, and other senior officials.

During the meeting, increased cooperation between Russia and Pakistan in large-scale manufacturing, railways and energy sectors was discussed.
Both sides agreed upon expediting the projects that are already in the pipeline.
Prime Minister Imran Khan reiterated the incumbent government’s resolve to provide a business-friendly environment to investors to attract much-needed Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
The delegation of leading Russian businessmen showed keen interest to invest in different projects in Pakistan.
