ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in a roof collapse incident in Bajaur agency.

In a statement, the prime minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and for the early recovery of the injured.

Earlier in the morning, as many as seven persons including women were killed and seven others injured when roof of two houses caved in Khar, headquarter of Bajaur agency.

Officials in political administration told that the tragic incident occurred when a high wall of a house collapsed on two others nearby houses owned by Muhammad Ibrahim and Munir, and their family members were trapped under it.

The local residents and Levies Force officials rushed to the site and retrieved seven bodies and injured seven others to the hospital.

A few among dead were identified as Zahid, Muska, Ayesa, Safia, Hameed and Abdullah while the injured were identified as Gula Bibi, Sajid, Shakeela, Ibrahim and Waheed.
