ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Dr Ashiq Awan has said that the Plan B of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) will also flop like his Plan A of the protest sit-in.
Last night, the JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman announced to wrap up their sit-in in Islamabad and directed the dharna participants to implement the Plan B under which motorways and highways across the Country will be blocked for traffic.
Talking to media representative after appearing before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in the Contempt of Court Case on Thursday, Dr Firdous said that the people will not support the elements bent upon stoking instability in the Country.
Dr Firdous also asked the opposition parties to sit with the government for the resolution of problems faced by the masses. She said that the Parliament is functional and the opposition should cooperate with the government for the passage of people friendly legislation.
Furthermore, the Special Assistant asked Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) not to do politics on the health of the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. She said that PML-N should act responsibly and take advantage of the facility extended by the government for treatment of the former prime minister abroad.

Dr Firdous said that according to the law, the names of the convicted persons are not removed from the Exit Control List (ECL). She said that the government has only sought guarantee in the form of indemnity bond which is a legal requirement. She said that PML-N should not make it a matter of its ego, submit the indemnity bond and take Nawaz Sharif abroad for the treatment.
