ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government has decided to observe the Ishq-e-Rasool (SAW) Week from October 31 to November 6, 2020 in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), the Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said.

While talking to the media in Islamabad on Wednesday, the minister said that during the week, Mahafils and Ceremonies will be held across the Country in which Ulema will highlight various aspects of Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW).

The minister said that declamation contests on Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) will also be organized at educational institutions.

Ishq-e-Rasool Week - The federal government has decided to observe the Ishq-e-Rasool (SAW) Week from October 31 to November 6, 2020 in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), the Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said. Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will write letters to heads of states and heads of governments of Muslim Countries to formulate a united stance of the Islamic Ummah against publication of blasphemous material. The religious affairs minister further said that the prime minister will also telephonically talk to various leaders of the Muslim world on the issue. The federal minister said that the government will also contact with the Grand Imam of Jamia Al-Azhar regarding his proposal that the lawyers from the Muslim Countries can jointly move an international forum against the blasphemies. In addition, he said that the religious scholars of the Western Countries will also be contacted to draw their attention toward the attempts of harming inter-faith harmony in the world.

Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will write letters to heads of states and heads of governments of Muslim Countries to formulate a united stance of the Islamic Ummah against the publication of blasphemous material.

The religious affairs minister further said that the prime minister will also telephonically talk to various leaders of the Muslim world on the issue.

The federal minister said that the government will also contact the Grand Imam of Jamia Al-Azhar regarding his proposal that the lawyers from the Muslim Countries can jointly move an international forum against the blasphemies.

In addition, he said that the religious scholars of the Western Countries will also be contacted to draw their attention toward the attempts of harming inter-faith harmony in the world.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan has written a letter to leaders of Muslim States to act collectively to counter the growing Islamophobia in non-Muslim States, especially the Western States causing increasing concern amongst Muslims the world over.
