ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Caretaker Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Muhammad Sami Saeed chaired a meeting to review the progress of initiatives taken in social sector on Friday in Islamabad.

In the meeting, the Member Social Sector Mr. Rafiullah Kakar explained the substantial initiatives and programs undertaken by the Ministry of Planning and Development in social sector.Caretaker Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Muhammad Sami Saeed

The Minister remarked that no country can tread the path of progress without the inclusion of underprivileged strata of society in the development process. The initiatives in social sector will pave the way for the social uplift of low- income groups in society by offering them equitable opportunities.

The Minister emphasized a transparent criteria should be adapted for selection of deserving persons and targeting social benefits.
