ANKARA, Turkey: Prime Minister Imran Khan held a meeting with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Friday as the former is on his first official visit to Turkey since assuming the Office last year.

During the meeting, both leaders discussed enhancing of relations and strengthening of economic ties between Pakistan and Turkey besides regional and international issues of mutual interests.

Earlier upon his arrival at Presidential Palace, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Prior to that, a delegation led by the Turkish Minister of Health Dr. Fahrettin Koca also met Prime Minister Imran Khan and discussed prospects of collaboration in health sector including capacity building, experience sharing, technology transfer and investment.

Similarly, the prime minister also addressed a Business Community in Ankara today and assured them that their investments will be fully protected in Pakistan.

Imran Khan told the Business Community that the process has been started to remove impediments in the way of investment in Pakistan.

In another meeting with a delegation of investors in agro-based industry led by Turkish Minister for Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli, the prime minister discussed prospects of collaboration in food processing, dairy sector and food chain management.
