NEW YORK: Prime Minister Imran Khan met the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and discussed with them the Middle East and Kashmir situation, reports DND News.

His separate meetings with both Hassan Rouhani and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took place on the sidelines of 74th UN General Assembly Session in New York.

During his meetings, he was of the view that the world cannot afford any new war in Middle East, and the situation between Saudi Arabia and Iran must not meddle with already fragile in Middle East.

The prime minister informed them that he raised the same point during his meeting with the US President Donald Trump and said that Pakistan is ready to mediate among Saudi Arabia, the United States and Iran if parties are agreed for such arbitration.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi while briefing journalists about meetings said that Prime Minister Imran Khan during his visit to Saudi Arabia suggested an amicable solution to the Saudi Arabia-US-Iran standoff.

Qureshi also briefed journalists that the prime minister informed the presidents of Iran and Turkey about grave situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir and thanked them for their support to Kashmiri people facing genocide like situation since over 50 days.
