ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Wednesday asked the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan to present proof of his allegation of Rs10 billion offered to him for not speaking against the Panama Papers.

On Tuesday, Imran Khan told participants at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) in Peshawar that he had been offered Rs10 billion by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government to back down from the Panamagate Case.

While addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Imran Khan should have disclosed the name of the persons, institutions or parties who had offered him Rs10 billion.

Marriyum said that Imran Khan’s allegation was totally baseless and was a continuation of his attitude of leveling baseless allegations against the personalities and institutions of the Country.

The minister said that the Supreme Court had rejected the petitions of all the petitioners, and their prays had also not been included in the questions of Joint Investigation Team (JIT).

The information said that Imran Khan was trying to make the decision of the honorable judges controversial.

The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
