ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for National Health Services Aamir Mehmood Kiani has said that Health Insurance Cards will be issued in next two to three months.
In his address at annual Public Health Conference in Islamabad on Tuesday, the minister said that the Health Insurance Scheme will be launched for poor segments of the society.
Amir Kiyani said that 50 percent of the poor will be covered under the Health Insurance Scheme by the end of next year.
The health minister also announced the construction of three hospitals in the Federal Capital in next few months.

The minister for national health said that earlier the health budget was merely six percent. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is paying special attention to the health sector.
Kiyani said that the health sector needs to be upgraded as per the international standard. He also stressed for taking steps towards checking population growth.
