ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar has said that the government is working on a single regulatory and governance system for the whole Federal Capital to ensure the provision of all basic civic facilities to its residents.
Talking to media in Islamabad on Wednesday along with the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on CDA Affairs Ali Nawaz Awan after the inauguration of the moon soon plantation drive, Asad Umar said that the single regulatory system is very necessary to address the problems of citizens and to ensure quality civic facilities to them.
The prime minister said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will soon formally approve the large-scale development projects for Islamabad. He said that four new hospitals will be constructed in Islamabad to strengthen the health care system while a water line system of 100 million gallon daily is being constructed to address the water shortage.
The planning and development minister further said that the legislation against illegal housing societies is also being made to address the grievances of affected citizens.
Asad Umar appealed the general public to fully participate in the drive for green Pakistan.
