ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the establishment of CPEC authority is a proof that the government is determined to expedite implementation of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) related projects.

In a series of tweets on Wednesday, Dr Firdous said that Pakistan-China friendship is an example for the region and the world, and symbol of peace and prosperity.

Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is currently in China on a two-day official visit, met the Premier of the State Council of the Peoples’ Republic of China H.E. Li Keqiang in Beijing and exchanged views on deepening Pakistan-China bilateral trade and explored ways of increasing Pakistan’s exports to China.

The special assistant said that the warm welcome accorded to Prime Minister Imran Khan on arrival at the Great Hall in Beijing is manifestation of the everlasting and deep relationship between the two Countries.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan in his meetings with the Chinese leadership also talked about the blatant human rights violations and humanitarian crisis in occupied Kashmir. She said that this demonstrates that the prime minister is standing firm for the rights of Kashmiri people at every front.
