ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that our aim is to empower the media and link it with the interests of the Country.

Talking to the state media after her meeting with President Dr Arif Alvi in Islamabad on Tuesday, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that we want digitalization of media and equip it with the latest technology, and the same was discussed during the meeting with the president.

The special assistant on information said that President Arif Alvi has entrusted her the responsibility to address the problems faced by the media.

Earlier during the meeting with the president, the special assistant discussed matters pertaining to the media including its role in the image building of Pakistan.
