ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced that 170,000 scholarships are being awarded across the Country for the skill development of the youth.

In a televised video message on Tuesday, the prime minister said that 50,000 scholarships are being given for hi-tech skills including artificial intelligence and big data.

The prime minister asked the youth to take full advantage of Skills Education and Kamyab Jawan Programs launched by the present government for the creation of job opportunities in the Country.

Imran Khan said that scholarships will not only benefit the youth but also the Country as a whole. He added that hi-tech skill-based scholarships will enable the youth to get excellent job opportunities as the world is heading towards a revolution in technology.

The prime minister said that the skill education program also envisages training in several other fields as well.

The prime minister pointed out that the present government has made a record allocation of Rs 100 billion under the Kamyab Jawan Program to enable the youth to start their own businesses.

Imran Khan said that any youth who has a business idea can avail loan facility under the Kamyab Jawan Program. He said that the program will be further expanded in order to reach out to more youth.

The prime minister said that the youth mainly want jobs in the Public Sector but actually it is the private sector or the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) where they can get job opportunities in good numbers.
