Government of PakistanFawad Chaudhry lambasts PPP for destroying institutions including Radio Pakistan

Khursheed Shah made 800 recruitments in Radio Pakistan in three days

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Thursday lambasted Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) for destroying all institutions including Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC), and added that Syed Khursheed Shah made 800 recruitments in Radio Pakistan only in three days.

In a Tweet, Fawad Chaudhry said that PPP destroyed all institutions including PBC by filling its own cronies.

The minister said that PPP’s Syed Khursheed Shah filled 800 people in three days only in Radio Pakistan, causing Rs seven million additional burden on the government.

The information minister also said that the federal government is drowning Rs five billion every year only on Radio Pakistan.

“Thanks to PPP visionless policy,” he remarked ironically.

Strong protest led govt to withdraw its decision to lease out Radio Pakistan’s building

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led federal government had decided to shift the PBC Headquarters to its academy in H-9 and give the existing building on a long-term lease.

The decision trigged a strong protest by the employees of Radio Pakistan, and PPP also moved a call attention motion in the National Assembly against the government’s decision of leasing out the building of Radio Pakistan.

Subsequently, the government withdrew its plan of leasing out the building of Radio Pakistan.

Talking to a Private News Channel, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs Naeem-ul-Haq said that it is a democratic government and it would always respect the public opinion.

Naeem-ul-Haq said that the government would never want to dismiss any single employee from the job as it had made promise of giving 10 million jobs.
