ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Saturday hoped that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would win majority seats in upcoming by-elections, and added the government would not interfere in by-polls.

Talking to media at Banigala in Islamabad, Fawad Chaudhry said PTI believed in free and fair elections, adding it didn’t believe in interference in elections and that’s why no administrative changes had been made in the Constituencies where by-elections were being held on October 14.

Informing about today’s meeting of PTI Candidates held at the Chairman’s Secretariat at Banigala, the minister said a number of PTI Candidates met Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad today and discussed various issues of importance. He said the prime minister also talked of the reorganization of the party.

In reply to a question regarding the appointment of the Chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Fawad Chaudhry said the party would make the final decision on the issue. He said they could not demonstrate reluctance with regard to protecting the national exchequer.

The minister said the prime minister also presided over another meeting today in which promotion of tourism in the Country was deliberated on. He said a cleanliness campaign would be initiated across the Country.

Fawad Chaudhry said they would lay the foundation of a green and clean Pakistan.
