ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday said the entire nation greatly valued the sacrifices rendered by the personnel of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in the line of their duty for the security of the motherland. 

“We are indeed indebted to each drop of their blood,” the prime minister said in a meeting with the family of Shaheed Additional Inspector General (AIG) Muhammad Ashraf Noor at the PM Office in Islamabad.

AIG Ashraf Noor embraced martyrdom when a suicide bomber rammed his motorbike into his official vehicle near Hayatabad area of Peshawar on November 24. Besides AIG Ashraf Noor, his gunman Habibullah was also martyred in the blast while six policemen were injured.

The prime minister paid rich tributes to the ultimate sacrifice of the senior police officer, and said the personnel of LEAs rendered huge sacrifices for the security of the motherland.

“The mission of our martyrs will continue till its logical conclusion,” the prime minister said.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi assured the bereaved family that the federal government would continue to provide every possible support to the families of the martyrs.
