LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that elimination of terrorists and their facilitators is essential for survival and stability of the country.
In a statement issued in Lahore on Friday, the Chief Minster said that the whole nation was united in the war against terrorism.
“We are advancing successfully towards eliminating extremism and terrorism,” he said.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the Pakistan Army through its bold actions had broken the backbone of terrorists, adding that it achieved marvelous successes through the Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
The Chief Minister said that steps taken under the National Action Plan (NAP) had yielded positive results. He said that today’s Pakistan was much safer and a peaceful than in the past.
“The country will be made a hub of peace by winning the war against terrorism,” Shahbaz Sharif said.
