ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that on 12th Rabiul Awwal all of us should reiterate our resolve to work for the progress and prosperity of the nation and the mother land, and also humbly pray to the Almighty Allah to guide us in our endeavours to build Pakistan as Medina like State where justice prevails and the fundamental needs of every citizen are fulfilled.

“I extended my joyous felicitations to all Muslims on this auspicious day of the birth of holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH),” Fawad Chaudhry said in his message on Eid Miladun Nabi being celebrated on Wednesday.

The minister said that the birthday (Eid Miladun Nabi) of the unrivalled benefactor of humanity, messenger of Almighty Allah and the flag bearer of the great religion of Islam Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) celebrated all over the Muslim World and with unprecedented devotion in Pakistan reminds us of the golden principles of Islam which were illustrated in the sublime way of life that he led. His life was an indeed an embodiment of what Islam stood for.

Fawad Chaudhry said that this Day makes us to comprehend the significance of the lofty values of sacrifice, tolerance, brotherhood and unity among the Muslim Ummah.

The information minister said that the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) terminated the history of inhumanity, oppression, tyranny, ignorance, injustice and deviation from the right path and purified the human civilization by inculcating characteristics like human dignity and forgiveness.

The minister said that the entire Muslim Ummah and the people of Pakistan are highly fortunate to have the guidance of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in regards to the worldly affairs as well the world hereafter.

“Our salvation, peace and progress of the Country rests on faithfully following his teachings and injunctions of Islam at the individual and collective level,” he said.
