ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Tuesday said that nation was moving towards ‘Roshan Pakistan’ as in addition to generation, transmission and distribution projects were also being implemented.

In his Tweet message, the minister said the Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) yesterday approved three transmission and two distribution projects worth Rs62.74 billion.

The transmission projects included 220KV grid station Mir Pur Khas (Rs3.85 billion), 500KV Matiari and Lahore Transmission Line (Rs.4.8 billion) and 220KV D I Khan to Zhob Transmission Line (Rs6.87 billion).

Similarly, the distribution projects included advanced/automatic metering system Lahore Electric Supply Company and Islamabad Electric Supply Company worth Rs30.3 billion and Rs16.9 billion respectively.
