ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Friday visited the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad and met the Special Investigation Team that had arrived from China to probe the Shangla suicide attack.

Mohsin Naqvi briefed the Chinese Investigation Team about the progress made so far in the investigation into the incident.

The minister assured the team that the real culprits of Shangla suicide attack will be brought to justice.

The interior minister also met with the Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong and updated him on the probe into Shangla incident.

In the meeting, measures pertaining to the protection of Chinese nationals and overall security were also discussed.

On March 26, six people including five Chinese nationals were killed after their vehicle was targeted in a suicide attack in Bisham Tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Shangla District.
