SADIQABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Saturday said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government was following comprehensive policy to overcome energy crisis in the Country.
While addressing a Ceremony after inaugurating a Gas Pumping Station in Rahim Yar Khan’s Sadiqabad Tehsil, the prime minister said the PML-N government inherited several challenges including energy crisis.
The prime minister said the energy crisis had paralyzed the growth of national economy while domestic and commercial gas consumers were facing sever issues. However, he added, the government was fulfilling its promises to resolve these issues.
Talking about the Gas Pumping Station, Khaqan Abbasi said the project would ensure gas supply to domestic and commercial consumers.
The project is part of gas infrastructure development across the Country. It is a joint venture of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL).
It also includes construction of 1044 kilometers pipeline by SNGPL and 425 kilometers pipeline by SSGCL.
The gas infrastructure development projects will ensure uninterrupted gas supply to power plants, industries, commercial and domestic consumers.
