ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister for Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar and the US Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs Dilawar Syed met at the Ministry of Commerce in Islamabad to discuss issues of trade and investment between the two Countries.

Dilawar Syed was accompanied by the Regional Policy Lead for Europe and Central Asia at the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) Ms. Gaia Self.

The Minister for Commerce highlighted the opportunities existing in Pakistan for US companies and businesses in various areas such as IT, textiles, pharmaceutical, etc.

Syed Naveed Qamar expressed the resolve to solve the genuine issues being faced by foreign investors including US companies operating in Pakistan.

The US Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs expressed interest in the opportunities being offered and hoped that the government of Pakistan’s focus on improving business climate of the Country will further enhance trade and investment between Pakistan and the United States.
