ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (retd) Nasir-ul-Mulk on Thursday said that the caretaker setup would ensure holding of free, fair and impartial general elections.
Nasir-ul-Mulk gave the assurance when he visited the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in Islamabad and met the Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Sardar Mohammad Raza.
The prime minister discussed and reviewed the measures taken by the ECP for the holding of free, fair and transparent general elections on July 25, 2018. He was given a detailed briefing about the election preparations.
Justice (retd) Nasir-ul-Mulk expressed satisfaction over the arrangements.
The Chief Election Commissioner said that the role of all stakeholders in holding of a transparent general elections was critical and vital so as to meet the expectations of the nation and uphold the sanctity of the Constitution.
Justice (retd) Sardar Raza expressed confidence that the ECP would fulfill its obligations to the nation in a befitting manner.
