Government of PakistanBLA’s anti-Pakistan campaign fully funded by enemy Countries, NA told

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Abdul Qadir Baloch on Wednesday told the National Assembly that it seemed that Balochistan Liberation Army’s (BLA) anti-Pakistan propaganda campaign was fully funded by the enemy Countries.

“Pakistan has declared BLA as a terrorist organization and its activities in Switzerland are against the United Nations and international laws,” the minister said while responding to a Calling Attention Notice on display of anti-Pakistan posters particularly with regard to Balochistan in Swiss City Geneva.

The minister observed arrest of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav was the evident of the fact that India was involved in creating unrest in Balochistan.

However, he added, situation in Balochistan was not alarming, and law & order was much better as compared to past. He said people of Balochistan were loyal to Pakistan and contributing in development, progress and prosperity of the Country.

The SAFRON minister told the House that the government had effectively raised BLA’s anti-Pakistan propaganda campaign with Switzerland government.

The minister said Pakistan Foreign Office had summoned Switzerland’s envoy designate Thomas Kolly over “Free Baluchistan” propaganda campaign being run in Geneva by the banned BLA. He said the Foreign Office registered a strong protest over the smear campaign and conveyed to the envoy that the use of Switzerland’s soil for the subversive activities was a violation of international laws.

Qadir Baloch said Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva Farukh Amil had already written to Swiss Permanent Representative Valentin Zellweger, drawing his attention to the “Free Baluchistan” posters placed along Rue de Ferney in the Grand Sacconex area.

The minister said Pakistan had asked the Swiss government that the use of its soil by terrorists and violent secessionists for nefarious designs against Pakistan was totally unacceptable.
