Government of PakistanBiometric Verification Service launched to facilitate pensioners

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The government of Pakistan has launched a Biometric Verification Service (BVS) to facilitate the pensioners.

The Biometric Verification Service is an established link among the Bank, NADRA and Account Office (AGPR).

Now the pensioners shall provide proof of life every six months through Biometric Verification on National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) system from any branch of a bank maintaining his/her pension account.

However, a life certificate signed by a person authorized is required in bank only if he/she is unable to undergo biometric verification due to incapacitation by bodily illness, infirmity or if his/her fingerprints do not exist due to old age or a genetic condition.

To avail this facility, all pensioners are advised to contact concerned bank branch.

The said facility is only for the pensioners who are drawing their pension from AGPR Islamabad.
