ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that the government is making serious efforts to facilitate and support the business community and industrial sector of the Country.

Talking to a delegation of the Peshawar Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry (PCST&SI) led by President PCST&SI Muhammad Adnan Jalil at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Monday, the president said that the government had announced a historic stimulus package of Rs 1.2 Trillion to provide relief to the business community and under-privileged strata of society during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The president said that PCST&SI played important role in the prosperity of the country through their business activities.

President Arif Alvi added that business-friendly policies of the Country led to remarkable improvement in the Ease of Doing Business Index ranking.

The delegation apprised the president about their problems. It appreciated the steps taken by the government for providing relief to the business community during the pandemic.
