MULTAN, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Interior, Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday said they had to maintain consistency of policies within the Country to achieve the goals of development and prosperity.

While talking to media representatives in Multan after being briefed by the National Highway Authority (NHA) on Multan-Sukkur Motorway Project, the minister said Pakistan was rising and its successes were also being recognized by the World Community.

Ahsan Iqbal said significant improvement had been witnessed in the law and order situation of the Country.

The interior minister said previous governments did not invest in the Energy Sector before 2013. He said the Country suffered huge load shedding due to non- investment in the Energy Department. He said the energy projects was not focused before the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) tenure.

The federal minister said the PML-N government had completed many projects of motorways. He said 1,600 kilometers long Motorways Projects were under construction.

Ahsan Iqbal said the foreign investment worth billions of dollars came in the Country due to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), steering Pakistan to become an emerging economy.
