ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Ministry of Interior has issued 4,26,928 arms licenses out of which 2,61,579 were documented under Computerized Arms License System (CALS).

National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is working with Federal and provincial governments to ensure a reliable and secure system for the issuance of Computerized Arms License cards. Still there are still 1,65,349 manual arms licenses issued by Ministry of Interior.

The new system replaces the old booklets with a highly secure PVC card which is convenient to carry in a wallet.
