German government thinking to use typewriters for secret and classified correspondence within the top civil and military bureaucracy

Moscow, Russia: German government is thinking to use traditional typewriters for secret and classified correspondence within the top civil and military bureaucracy after getting credible information that United States has not stopped tapping secret information and getting data through emails, hard drives and other digital gadgets used for typing, correspondence and printing documents.

Germany ordered the CIA station chief in Berlin out of the country after arrest of double agent and getting more information about constant spying of its politicians and military and civil bureaucrats.

RT Russian meanwhile also ran a story over this issue and stated that Russia is already planning to start the use of traditional typewriters for classified correspondence. RT reports as:

Meanwhile, if German politicians do decide to ditch computers in favor of typewriters, they would not be the first to come up with such an idea.

Last year, apparently in a move triggered by the Snowden leaks, the Russian Federal Guard Service (FSO) ordered typewriters capable of both Russian and Latin typeface. The FSO – which protects highest-ranking officials – was going to spend 486,000 rubles (US$14,000) to buy 20 electric portable
