PESHAWAR: The Pakistani jet fighters pounded suspected militant hideouts in various parts of the North Waziristan tribal region on early Saturday, killing scores of suspected militants.

The sources said that the airstrikes were carried out to destroy militant hideouts in Daigan, Poikhel and Muhammadkhel areas of the tribal region.

The airstrikes were the part of the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb against military during which more than 400 suspected militants including local as well as foreign have been killed so far.
