ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Saudi State Minister for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir met his Pakistani Counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi at the Foreign Office in Islamabad on Thursday, and assured him of Saudi Arabia’s complete and overwhelming support towards solving the issues with India in a peaceful manner, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed the current situation in the region, as well as other matters of common interest including economics, politics and security.
Both the foreign ministers agreed to ensure the implementation of mutually agreed steps within the time limits to promote bilateral, economic, and security related cooperation under the Pak-Saudi Supreme Coordination Council.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that they welcome the offer of Saudi Arabia for efforts towards reconciliation between Pakistan and India to ease the tension.

The Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir arrived in Islamabad earlier in the day on a follow-up visit of recent tour of the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman.
During his visit, Adel al-Jubeir will hold meetings with the high-level political leadership of Pakistan.
