BRUSSELS, Belgium: A three-week Photo Exhibition is being held in Belgium’s Capital Brussels to promote tourism in Pakistan, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will inaugurate the Photo Exhibition.
Meanwhile, Shah Mahmood Qureshi has reached Brussels wherein he was received at the airport by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium Naghmana Hashmi and senior Officials of Pakistan’s Embassy.
During the visit, the foreign minister will meet the NATO General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg at its Headquarters in Brussels.
The foreign minister will also meet the European Unions’ (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini. He will also sign an agreement on new Comprehensive Strategic Plan between Pakistan and EU with Federica Mogherini.
In addition, Shah Mahmood Qureshi will present Pakistan’s point of view at the European Council Meeting about regional security.
Qureshi will also address the Pakistani Community in Brussels.
Earlier talking to media in Islamabad before leaving for Brussels, the foreign minister said that the Strategic Plan with the European Union will begin Pakistan’s long-term cooperation with the EU which is a positive development.
The foreign minister said that Pakistan has been cooperating with NATO and we extended unprecedented help to the US and NATO forces in matters pertaining to Afghanistan.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that we have played a key role in war against terrorism and NATO has acknowledged that fact. He said that we believe that our relationship with NATO in defence and security matters should continue.
