NEW YORK: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Argentina Jorge Marcelo Faurie on the sidelines of the ongoing United Nations Security Council Session in New York, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi briefed his Argentinian Counterpart on the latest situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IOJ&K), urging the international community to play its role in immediately ending the blockade of nearly eight million Kashmiris who continued to endure worst human rights and humanitarian conditions at the hands of the Indian occupation forces.
Both the foreign ministers exchanged views on issues of international importance, and expressed satisfaction at the ongoing cooperation between the two sides at the multi-lateral forums, in particular in context of the UN Security Council reform process.
The two sides also discussed possible avenues for cooperation and collaboration with regard to their respective Antarctic programmes.
