ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan and the United States held delegation level talks in Islamabad on Monday on regional security situation with particular reference to Afghanistan as part of regular consultations on bilateral relationship and the Afghan peace process, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency.

The Pakistani side consisted of interagency delegation led by the Additional Secretary (Americas) Aftab Khokhar while the US side by the US Special Representative for Afghan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad and the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, South and Central Asia Alice G Wells.

The two sides discussed the Pak-US bilateral relations and the Afghan reconciliation process.
