ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan has strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attack on civilian areas carried out by the Houthis in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Capital Abu Dhabi.

The attack by Yemen’s Houthi group via a drone blew up petrol tanks near the storage facility of oil firm ADNOC in Abu Dhabi on Monday, resulting in the death of a Pakistani national and two Indians.

We offer our condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” said a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.

The statement said that such attacks violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the UAE and pose a grave threat to regional peace and security.

“Pakistan calls for their immediate cessation,” the statement further said.

“Pakistan stands in solidarity with the brotherly people and government of the United Arab Emirates in the face of this wanton act of terrorism,” it added.
