ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan has strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attack in Afghanistan’s eastern Logar province in which scores of innocent lives were lost and many others were injured.

On Friday, 27 people were killed and dozens injured in a huge car bomb blast in Pul-e-Alam, the Capital City of Afghanistan’s Logar province.

The explosives-laden car was detonated near the house of the former Head of the Provincial Council Didar Lawang in Pul-e-Alam City.

In a statement on Saturday, the Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said that the people and the government of Pakistan offer heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the quick recovery of the injured.

“Pakistan condemns terrorism in all forms and manifestations,” Chaudhri said.

The Spokesperson said that at this moment of grief, Pakistan stands by the Afghan brethren in their struggle against the scourge of terrorism.

“Pakistan will continue to support Afghanistan on its path to peace, progress and prosperity,” the Spokesperson added.
