Islamabad, Pakistan: Pakistan Embassy in United States has signed a lobbying services contract with famous law firm Holland & Knight.

According to an official statement issued by the Foreign Office of Pakistan, leading Republican from New York, former Congressman Tom Reynolds (Thomas M. Reynolds), who represents Washington’s top lobbying firm Holland & Knight, called on the Foreign Minister at the Embassy.

On this occasion, a contract between Pakistan Embassy and Holland & Knight for provision of lobbying services to Pakistan was signed.

According to official website of Holland & Knight, the hallmark of Holland & Knight’s success has always been and continues to be legal work of the highest quality, performed by well-prepared lawyers who revere their profession and are devoted to their clients.

According to Wikipedia, Holland & Knight LLP is an international law firm with more than 1,300 lawyers and other professionals in 28 offices throughout the world. Holland & Knight provides representation in litigation, business, real estate and governmental law.

According to Pakistan Foreign Office, joining former Congressman Reynolds will be a team comprised of other former members of Congress, former senior Administration officials, capitol Hill veterans and other professional experts. It may be recalled that despite pressing requirements of the unique political scene in the United States, the Embassy had no lobbyist during the past six years.

Noting the importance of the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to the US in revitalizing the Pakistan-US bilateral relations, the Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi hoped that Holland & Knight would be able to work efficiently with the Embassy to advance Pakistan’s interests in the United States.

The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
